At CLF’s cureMEdullo, the mission is simple: to find a cure for Medulloblastoma, the most prevalent brain cancer in children through collaboration.
Because of your support, we have so much to celebrate about 2021!
- We worked with our friends and fellow advocates across the nation to illuminate the White House in GOLD the night of our 2021 Golden Toast.
- We committed approximately a quarter of a million dollars to strategic medulloblastoma research
- In partnership with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Young Investigators Awards Program, we sponsored 3 ASCO young investigators who are specifically focused on medulloblastoma. Our goal is to invest in building a team that is committed to investigating the most common type of pediatric brain cancer. We were THRILLED to announce that one of these Young Investigators has already produced meaningful results at St. Jude!
- We also partnered with the Childhood Brain Tumor Network and the National Institute of Health (NIH) to launch a medulloblastoma program to sequence medulloblastoma tumors. By better understanding medulloblastoma and its sub-types, scientists can develop tailored therapies and precision medicines to treat patients when current treatment plans fail.
2021 had a lot of challenges, to be sure, with constantly changing COVID guidelines and travel restrictions, but we are proud of how we were able to meet these challenges head-on and continue our mission . But we couldn’t have done it without YOU.
You are our community, our family, our tribe. You are the way we give hope to those in the battle of a lifetime, and you are the reason how we can effect legislation.
As we look ahead to 2022, we want to thank you for all of your support and invite you to join us in a New Year’s toast to everything we are going to accomplish in the year to come!
